Let Me Peek

by Hyouka

Let Me Peek is a server-side Fabric mod that lets staff watch a player's view, or ask to, using commands that never move the watcher.

FabricServer-side onlyMIT LicenseOpen source1.21 – 26.2

What it does

Staff and players can view another player's perspective without moving themselves. Observation targets can be switched in sequence, and the observer's own position, items and status effects are saved before a session and restored once it ends. Command requests let a player ask to observe another player, and the target can accept or decline them.

Privacy is handled by a private mode and a blacklist or whitelist, with auto-accept settings for requests. Limits and behaviors are set in the configuration file. Fabric API is required. LuckPerms and Text Placeholder API are optional: LuckPerms adds fine-grained permission nodes, and Text Placeholder API adds placeholders that other mods and plugins can display.

The mod runs on the server alone, so players join without installing anything. It is released under the MIT License and is open source, with public source code and an issue tracker. Files cover 16 release versions, 1.21 – 26.2, and the latest Fabric file is v2.0.0+26.1.2+26.2 for 26.2, published 2026-07-09.

Key features

  1. Player observation

View a player's perspective from the observer's own session, leaving the observer's position unchanged.

  2. State protection

Position, items and status effects are saved before observation and restored afterward.

  3. Switching targets

Move between different observation targets in one session without ending it.

  4. Privacy controls

Private mode, blacklist and whitelist settings, and auto-accept options decide who can observe whom.

  5. Placeholder support

Several placeholders expose observation details for use in other mods' and plugins' display systems.
