birthday-fabric lets players on a Fabric server record a birthday in MM-DD format and be greeted with cake on the day.
What it does
On a server that runs birthday-fabric, a player sets a birthday once and can change it up to three times, and the number of changes allowed is configurable. Admins can set or modify the birthday of any other player. Stored birthday information survives server restarts, so dates do not need to be entered again after a reboot.
The mod is built as a celebration feature for Minecraft servers. Automatic detection checks daily whether a recorded birthday falls on the current date. When a player says Happy Birthday in chat, the server responds with a cake and a special message for the birthday player, so others can send warm wishes on the day.
Only the server needs it, and players join without installing anything. Files are published for Fabric alone, across six game versions, 1.21 – 1.21.5. The mod is released under the MIT License and is not open source.
