Passable Leaves lets players walk, sprint and path through leaf blocks, with slower movement, particles and sounds as they pass.
What it does
Leaf blocks normally stop a player, but with the mod installed a player can move through them. Running through leaves is slowed on purpose, so forest travel takes a little more effort. Each step through foliage produces particles and a sound, and both can be adjusted in the configuration file. The mod targets Fabric only, and its builds cover 1.18.2 – 1.20.4 across eight release versions.
Passable Leaves needs Fabric API and oωo (owo-lib) on Fabric, and it also works with Nbt Crafting, which is optional. The server and every player need the mod installed. The latest file is 1.6.2 for 1.20.4, published on 2024-10-02. The mod is released under the MIT License and is open source, with its source code and issue tracker public.

Walking through leaves
Leaf blocks no longer block movement, so players can walk straight through foliage in a forest.
Slowed movement
Running through leaves reduces speed, which gives the foliage a physical effect without stopping the player.

Each pass through leaves produces particles and a rustling sound, both of which can be turned off or changed in the config.
Leaf Walker enchantment
An enchantment named Leaf Walker lets a player walk, sprint and path through leaves at full speed.
