Party Flames (Dyeable Fire)
by A5ho9999
Party Flames lets players colour their fire, dyeing the flames that flint steel produces through a Dyed Steel item in the crafting grid.
What it does
Dyed Steel is made by placing ordinary flint steel in the crafting grid with a dye, and it takes on the colour in the same way leather armour does. A Dyed Steel item can then be used like flint steel to ignite blocks, but the fire it starts takes the chosen colour. The mod is meant for decorating builds and setting a mood, with colour as the main change.
Dyed flames are tuned to be safe in play. They do not deal damage to entities that walk through them, they do not spread to neighbouring blocks, and they produce reduced smoke particles. Dyed flames also do not disappear on their own the way normal fire does, so they need no netherrack beneath them to stay lit.
Party Flames is a Fabric mod for 1.21 – 26.3, with 17 release versions and the latest file 2.0.1-1.26.3 for 26.3. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. Fabric API is required. The mod is released under a custom license and is not open source.
