Smelter The Hedgehog speeds up furnaces, blast furnaces and smokers, so smelting finishes faster on a server that runs it.

What it does

The mod belongs to the Hedgehog family of utilities, in the same spirit as Hopper, and targets the cooking time of furnace-type blocks. Furnaces, blast furnaces and smokers all benefit, and modded furnaces that follow the same behavior are covered too. The mod is server-side only, so players join without installing it, and it needs Fabric API to run. Optional support is listed for Mod Menu and Traveler's Backpack. Files are published for Fabric across 24 release versions, 1.20 – 26.3, and the code is covered by a custom license that is not open source.

Key features

    Furnaces, blast furnaces and smokers cook their items in less time than vanilla, with the speed set in the config.

  2. Vanilla feel kept

    Fuel is still consumed over the whole cooking time, so the furnace keeps the behavior players already know.

    The crafting workbench can be configured separately from the furnace-type blocks.
