Particle Tweaks
by Lunade
Particle Tweaks changes how Minecraft particles appear and disappear, so most of them grow and fade in and shrink and fade out instead of popping.
What it does
Vanilla particles pop into and out of existence with no transition. Particle Tweaks gives almost all of them a grow-and-fade entrance and a shrink-and-fade exit. Some particles also react to water, and bubbles pop when they end rather than vanishing.
Installation needs Fabric API and FrozenLib. The mod is client-side only, so servers do not need it. Files exist for Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt, covering game versions 1.19.4 – 26.3, and snapshot builds are published. It is released under a custom license and is not open source.
Key features
Grow and fade entrance
Most particles scale up from nothing while fading in, instead of appearing at full size.
Shrink and fade exit
Particles scale down and fade out before they are removed, so they no longer vanish in one frame.
Water-aware particles
Some particle types are affected by water, and bubbles burst at the end of their life.

What the author says
Particles in Minecraft have always simply popped in and out of existence, and have always lacked a coat of paint that some people might've wanted. This mod fixes that, now making almost all particles grow/fade into existence, and shrink/fade out of existence! On top of that, some particles are now effected by water.
