Trim Patcher
by Lunade
Trim Patcher makes armor trims and trim materials work together with a shared palette system, for mods that add new trim materials.
What it does
The mod patches how Armor Trims and Trim Materials load, so the two systems combine without conflicts on armor items. It adds trim textures and new palettes through the atlas, and from 1.21.11 onward the item models display the new trim material colors, which are generated automatically. Keep the trim material name in step with the shorthand name used by its palette, since the patcher relies on that match.
Trim Patcher works with Paletted Permutation sprite sources and uses the default Trim Palette key. Mods or datapacks that add their own trims still need extra compatibility work to fit Armor Trims and Trim Materials. The mod is available for Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt across 8 release versions, 1.21.9 – 26.3, and is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, so its source code is open.
