FastAnim
by Lunade
Players with many mobs nearby can use FastAnim, a client-side Fabric and Quilt mod that speeds up how entity limb angles are calculated each frame.
What it does
Each rendered frame, the game recalculates the angles of every entity's limbs. FastAnim stores a constant for the conversion from degrees to radians, so it is no longer recomputed for each entity, and replaces repeated arithmetic with stored variables. The gain grows with the number of entities on screen and depends on the hardware.
Key features
Stored conversion constant
The degrees-to-radians factor is computed once and reused by every entity during animation updates.
Reduced repeated arithmetic
Calculations that give the same result each frame are replaced with variables, cutting redundant work.
Client-side animation speedup
Entity limb animation is sped up on the client, with no change needed on the server.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
This mod also publishes snapshot builds. Snapshots are not shown in the matrix.

What the author says
Each time Minecraft wants to draw a frame, ALL entities recalculate the angles of each of their limbs. However, due to a huge oversight by Mojang, MANY of these calculations can easily be sped up, and are sometimes flat-out unnecessary. This mod fixes that by making PI/180 a stored value that isn't calculated…
