Panda Unique Item lets a forged item carry lore text recording the date it was made at an anvil, so duplicates with the same name can be told apart.

What it does

Players write lore text onto an item at an anvil, such as the date of forging, and the lore stays with that item. Removing the custom name also removes the lore. The problem the mod addresses is that an item kept for its sentimental value can be copied by anyone who gives a duplicate the same name and enchantments, leaving no visible way to separate the original from the copy. Panda Block Name works together with this mod: a name block keeps the forged lore and custom name when the item is placed and later picked up again.

The mod runs on Fabric and needs Fabric API. It is server-side only, so players join without installing anything, and the code is under the CC0 1.0 Universal license. Builds cover 1.21.6 – 26.3.
