Onion Onion
by davigj
With Onion Onion, cutting onions on a Farmer's Delight cutting board can make nearby ghasts shed tears and turn obsidian into crying obsidian.
What it does
Onion Onion is a Farmer's Delight add-on that adds onion slices, called rings, which players make by cutting onions. Cutting onions produces effects on nearby entities and blocks: a ghast may shed a tear, obsidian may become crying obsidian, and weeping vines may grow nearby. Each effect has a chance setting in the config, and the effects reach a radius of blocks that defaults to 2. The radius is capped at 16 to limit performance costs.
Required dependencies are Architectury API, Blueprint, Farmer's Delight and Farmer's Delight Refabricated. Overweight Farming is optional and lets peeling its Big Onion blocks with an axe trigger the same effect. Frame Changer is also optional. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, across the 1.19.2 – 1.21.1 range, and the code is released under the MIT License, so the project is open source.
