Wilder Flowers
by davigj
Wilder Flowers adds wildflowers and clover patches to world generation, plus flower garlands that can be worn or placed as decor.
What it does
Wildflowers are added to vanilla world generation, so new blooms appear in the biomes where the mod places them. Those blooms can be crafted into flower garland decor, which works both as worn equipment and as a placeable block. Clover patches also generate across several biomes, giving open ground more foliage without any setup.
The mod was first built as an original feature of Raspberry Core for Raspberry Flavoured, then iterated there before being split into a standalone mod. Its flower implementation came from Kobber and cassiancc, the textures from ProbablyEkho, and the later multiloader 1.21.x port from cassiancc. Fabric API is required on Fabric, and Tiny Flowers is an optional companion that adds to the flower set.
Client and server: the mod must run on both sides, so the server and every player need it. It ships for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with files covering 1.19.2 – 26.3 and snapshot builds published alongside them. Wilder Flowers is open source under the MIT License, with its source code and issue tracker publicly linked.
Key features
Wildflowers in world generation
New wildflower blooms are placed through vanilla world generation, so they appear in newly generated terrain.
Clover patches
Clover patches generate across several biomes, adding ground cover to grassy areas.
Flower garlands
Wildflowers can be assembled into garlands that serve as decor, and a garland can be worn or set down.
Optional Tiny Flowers support
With Tiny Flowers installed, the flower set expands further, and the mod works without it.

How it compares
Wilderness is a Fabric, Forge and NeoForge mod for 1.20.1, released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only and open source, so it covers a different range of content than Wilder Flowers. Wildflowers Backport is a Forge-only mod for 1.20.1 under All rights reserved and is not open source, which means it cannot be modified and redistributed the way Wilder Flowers can. Wilder Wild (Forge) is Forge-only for 1.20 – 1.20.1, also under the MIT License but not open source.
