Oculus is an unofficial fork of Iris Shaders that loads shader packs on Forge and NeoForge.

What it does

Shader packs written for ShadersMod or OptiFine are meant to work without changes. Oculus brings that capability to Forge and NeoForge, paired with Embeddium or Rubidium for rendering performance. Its issues are tracked separately; the author asks that they are not reported to the official Iris project.

Files cover eight versions, 1.16.5 – 1.20.1, and the latest, 1.20.1-1.8.0, dates from 2024-12-24. Shader rendering happens on the client only. Dependencies list Embeddium and Rubidium. The project is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only.
