Oculus Particle Fix
Oculus Particle Fix stops particles from showing through walls when the Oculus shader mod is active and an item is picked up.
What it does
The Oculus Particle Fix mod addresses a visual glitch in the Forge port of the Iris shader mod, which Oculus builds on. Since Minecraft 1.18.2, particles from item pickup could show through walls, and with shaders disabled the particles still appeared black. The fix targets only that effect and is meant to remove the glitch without introducing another one.
The author notes that an earlier option, disabling item pickup particles altogether, removed the glitch but had side effects, which is why this mod takes a different approach. Oculus is required, because the fix works on top of its shader pipeline. The author notes that Oculus version 1.19.2 and later reportedly contain a similar fix, which works imperfectly and is absent from the 1.18.2 build.
The mod is published for Forge only, in 7 release versions covering 1.18.2 – 1.20.1, with 1.0 for 1.20.1 as the latest file. Players add it to their own game, and a server needs no copy. The code is open source under the MIT License, and the source code and issue tracker are public.
Key features
Item pickup particle fix
Particles created when items are picked up no longer appear through solid blocks while Oculus shaders are running.
Black particle correction
The particles that appear dark when shaders are turned off are handled by the same fix.
Targeted scope
The change is limited to the pickup particle effect, so other particle behavior is left as it was.
Public source code
The source code and issue tracker are linked publicly for anyone who wants to check how the fix works.

Since Minecraft version 1.18.2, the shader mod Oculus (a Forge port of Iris ) had a bug where all particles would be visible through walls during item pickup. With shaders disabled, they would even…
