No fall damage
by ZYNX_TWN
No fall damage removes the damage a player or mob takes from falling, whatever the drop height.
What it does
Every entity is covered: the game's usual fall damage formula is replaced, which means passive animals, hostile creatures and modded entities alike take no harm from a drop. Players can descend any height without tools or risk of injury, which suits creative users and builders who want to skip a survival challenge.
The functionality is applied universally across the game environment and is described as lightweight and compatible with standard Minecraft installations. It is published for Forge and NeoForge across 15 release versions, 1.18.2 – 1.21.11, and is released under the MIT License; the code is not open source. Client and server both need it, so the server and every player install it.
Key features
Fall damage removed
Falls of any distance no longer reduce health for players, passive mobs, hostile mobs or other mod entities.
Server-side logic
The fall damage override runs on the server, and clients also carry the mod, so both sides stay in agreement.
Lightweight utility
The mod is a simple utility with a single purpose and no additional blocks, items or menus.

Players who want to remove one specific survival hazard can do so without changing other mechanics.
Who it’s for: Players who want to remove the fall hazard from survival, creative builders and server owners who prefer that fall damage not apply on their world.
How it compares
Fall Potion is open source under the MIT License, works on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 1.20 – 26.1.2, and is client and server. Speed Fall Damage is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, Forge only and limited to 1.19.2. KillFallingBlocks is not open source, is released under the MIT License, and needs only the server, with client optional.
