Stronger blocks

by ZYNX_TWN

Stronger blocks adds reinforced versions of common building blocks that resist explosions far better than their vanilla counterparts.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverMIT License1.18.2 – 1.21.10

What it does

The mod introduces a small set of sturdier stone-type blocks that take far more explosive force to break than ordinary walls. Each reinforced variant has higher blast resistance, so it withstands creeper blasts and TNT that would tear through vanilla blocks. The variants keep the appearance of their vanilla counterparts, so a base can gain durability without changing its style. The reinforced blocks can still be mined with almost any pickaxe, and the cheaper ones are crafted from basic resources.

Harder-to-craft blast-proof versions sit at the top of the set for players who want sturdier defenses. The mod suits survival bases and mob-proof builds, where walls and floors need to hold against explosions and weapons. It runs on Forge and NeoForge and is released under the MIT License. Files cover 1.18.2 – 1.21.10 across 14 release versions, and the latest file is 1.5.0 for 1.21.10.

Key features

  1. Reinforced basic blocks

Common blocks such as cobblestone, deepslate and brick gain stronger variants with higher blast resistance.

  2. Vanilla look

The reinforced blocks keep the appearance of their vanilla counterparts, so structures gain durability without a new style.

  3. Crafting tiers

Basic reinforced blocks are made from common resources, while blast-proof versions require more demanding recipes.

  4. Pickaxe mining

Reinforced blocks can be mined with almost any pickaxe, so they do not demand special tools to collect.
