Better craftable beacons

Better craftable beacons adds two crafting recipes that turn Diamond Blocks and a Nether Star into a beacon without fighting the Wither.
What it does
The mod is built for quick progression. Its recipes let a player build a beacon early in a survival world, so the Wither fight and repeated Wither farming are not needed to get the block. Recipes use four Diamond Blocks with a Nether Star, combined with an Ender Eye or a Glowstone Block, and a Nether Star can also be duplicated.
The mod works on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, and it runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for 15 release versions, 1.18.2 – 1.21.11, under the MIT License, which is not open source. The latest Fabric and Forge files are 1.0.0 for 1.20.1, and the latest NeoForge file is 1.0.0 for 1.21.11, all dated 2026-01-06.

Four Diamond Blocks, a Nether Star and an Eye of Ender combine into a beacon in the crafting grid.
Glowstone beacon recipe
A second recipe swaps the Eye of Ender for a Glowstone Block, giving an alternative route to the same result.
Nether Star duplication
Four Diamond Blocks combined with one Nether Star produce two Nether Stars, so the ingredient can be made again.

The mod adds three recipes in total, all made from vanilla materials.

Early beacon in survival
A player who has not yet defeated the Wither can still craft a beacon using the recipes.
