MineDrive
by JustPatrox
MineDrive syncs Minecraft saves to Google Drive, so a world and player data can follow a player between devices and stay backed up.
What it does
MineDrive is a Fabric mod that handles cloud save synchronization for Minecraft Java Edition worlds. Saves are uploaded to Google Drive and can be restored on another device, which covers both the world files and the player data stored with them. MineDrive begins as a fork of MineGIT, and the two cannot be installed together because the catalog lists them as incompatible.
Because it works on the client, the feature suits a single player who moves between a desktop and a laptop, or someone who wants a backup kept outside the local machine. Automatic backup support runs the sync without manual steps. Fabric API is required, and Mod Menu is optional for its configuration screen.
Files are published for Fabric only, for 26.1.2 and 26.2, with 1.6.0 for 26.2 as the latest build from 2026-07-26. The first release came out on 2026-05-11. The code is not open source, and the mod is licensed as All rights reserved, though a public source repository and an issue tracker are linked from the project.
Key features
Google Drive cloud saves
Worlds are stored in Google Drive, so a save made on one computer can be pulled onto another.
Automatic backups
Saves are backed up on their own schedule, without the player starting each copy by hand.
Player data sync
Player data is kept together with the world, so progress carries over between devices.
Lightweight design
The mod is kept small and simple to use, with a focus on the sync task alone rather than extra game features.
