WorldVault

by Timtendo12

WorldVault lets players save singleplayer worlds to their own Google Drive or Dropbox account and pick them up again on another computer.

FabricClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.11 – 26.2

What it does

Players connect one cloud provider, Google Drive or Dropbox, and WorldVault uploads world files directly to that account. Authentication runs through OAuth, so the account password is never given to the mod, and only files the mod creates are requested. Worlds stay in the owner's own cloud storage, and WorldVault does not store them on any server of its own.

Syncing is automatic. Only changed files are uploaded, a sync status is shown in the world list, and cloud copies of worlds can be fetched from inside Minecraft. If the same world was changed on two computers before syncing, WorldVault keeps both local and cloud versions instead of overwriting either one. The mod reports a small anonymous usage count on each launch, and that reporting can be turned off in the settings.

The mod is a Fabric mod for singleplayer worlds, and it requires Fabric Loader and Fabric API. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. Files are published for Fabric only, for 1.21.11 and 26.1 – 26.2, and the code is open source under the MIT License.

Key features

  1. Google Drive and Dropbox

World files can be saved to a Google Drive or Dropbox account the player already owns.

  2. Changed files only

Each sync uploads only the files that changed since the last one, which keeps transfers small.

  3. Conflict protection

When a world changed on two computers, both local and cloud versions are kept side by side.

  4. Sync status in the world list

The world list shows whether each world is synced, so players can see what is current before they leave.
