MineGIT
by ModMonster
MineGIT is a Minecraft cloud save system that uses Git to store world saves in a personal repository on a Git host.
What it does
Saves are synced through a Git repository that the player creates for each world. When a world is exited, MineGIT pushes its current state to the cloud, and when it is loaded again it pulls the latest changes first, so a world can be picked up on another device. Because the mod uses Git internally, only files in the world save folder are changed, and only the changed data is uploaded or fetched, which saves storage space and internet bandwidth.
Setup requires a personal access token from the Git host, created with Administration and Contents permissions set to read and write for the chosen repositories. Players then enable MineGIT for each world, and a new repository named after the world folder is initialized. The mod requires Fabric API and Ornithe Standard Libraries. It is client-side only and open source under the MIT License, with builds for 1.20.6 – 26.3 on Fabric.
Key features
Cloud save sync
Each enabled world is pushed to a Git repository on exit and pulled from it on load.
Per-world opt-in
MineGIT is enabled for the worlds the player chooses, and other worlds are left untouched.
Delta transfers
Only changed data moves between the device and the repository, which reduces bandwidth and storage use.
Token-based access
Access is granted through a personal access token limited to the repositories and permissions the player selects.

How it compares
Git Pack Manager is server-side only and open source under the MIT License, covering Fabric and NeoForge for 1.19.2 – 26.3. GitPuller is also server-side only, open source under the Apache License 2.0, and runs on Fabric for 1.20.6 – 26.3. MineDrive is client-side only on Fabric for 26.1.2 – 26.2 and is not open source, so it uses a different sync approach.
