Microsoft SQL JDBC is a library that gives other mods a connection to SQL Server databases by bundling the Microsoft driver.
What it does
The mod adds no gameplay of its own. It packages the Microsoft SQL Server driver, adding metadata so Forge, Fabric and Spigot can load the file as a mod or plugin. Other mods that connect to SQL Server rely on this driver, and the driver itself is left unchanged.
One universal JAR covers Forge, Fabric and Spigot builds for 1.12.2 – 1.20.4 in this listing. Either side can run it, and neither needs it unless a dependent mod asks for it. The license is custom and the project is not open source.
Installation matters only when another mod depends on this driver. The latest Fabric and Forge files are 12.2.0.jre8+20220506 for 1.20.4, published on 2023-05-06.
