Geodesy
by Kosmolot
Geodesy is a Fabric utility that plans amethyst farm layouts for a given geode, run from a command block or a player command on a test or disposable world.
What it does
The mod calculates the layout of a flying-machine amethyst farm around one geode. A player marks two corners of the area, and the mod highlights the detected geode so the coordinates can be checked before any machine is built. Small and medium geodes suit it well, since large ones produce many collisions in the farm design.
The farm design tool uses marker blocks to describe the build: a pumpkin marks where amethyst clusters are pushed and destroyed, crying obsidian marks budding amethyst, and moss outlines the outer frame. The mod can restrict the layout to one or two directions and changes its shape according to the order in which directions are given. It also runs an analysis that tries combinations of projections and axes to compare their efficiency. Geodesy is open source under the MIT License and is server-side only, so players join without installing it, though it requires Fabric API and the server must allow command blocks.
Key features
Geode area calculation
Two corner coordinates define the area, which is cleared of surrounding junk before the geode is measured.
Farm design markers
Blocks such as pumpkins, crying obsidian and moss tell the tool where clusters, budding amethyst and the outer frame belong.
Direction control
Directions can be limited to one or two instead of the usual three, and their order changes the resulting formation.
Efficiency analysis
Combinations of projections and axes are tested to calculate the efficiency of each candidate layout.

What the author says
Small Fabric mod for calculating amethyst farm flying machine layout. Inspired by the original ilmango's video and the flying machine based farm made by neffty87. You should only run this in disposable worlds, either in single player or on servers where you have op. Command blocks must also be enabled.
