Meticulous adds configurable minimum break times for the first and second block a player mines while holding the attack button, to help avoid breaking blocks by accident.

What it does

Holding down the left mouse button on a block starts the break; Meticulous delays it until a set minimum time has passed, so a quick tap or a stray click does not destroy the block. Separate minimum times are set for the first block and the second block mined in a row, and a toggle lets players slow every block regardless of the list.

Settings cover a notification toggle, a list of blocks that are always slowed, and the minimum time values themselves. The key bindings are not set in the mod; they appear in Minecraft's controls screen. Options fall back to default values when Cloth Config is not installed. Meticulous is a client-side mod and works in single player; servers do not need it. It is published for Fabric and Quilt, with builds covering 1.18.1 – 26.3.

Installation needs Fabric API. MidnightLib and Mod Menu are optional: Cloth Config support adds a settings screen when Mod Menu is present, and MidnightLib is listed as an optional dependency. The code is released under the MIT License and is open source, so anyone may port it to other loaders.
