Masks N Glory
by VainnGlory
Masks N Glory is a Fabric equipment mod for 1.20.1 that replaces helmet slots with a set of masks, each granting its own ability.
What it does
Each mask in Masks N Glory has a named effect, such as a rage meter that grows when the wearer is struck and turns into extra damage, or a burst of slowness that fires when the wearer takes damage. Some masks trigger only at low health, others shift the wearer to the Nether roof on a sneak input, and a few change how bad luck and sugar rush affect the player. Masks are worn in the helmet slot and their effects stop once the mask is removed.
The mod requires Geckolib for its animated models, and it can optionally use Enchancement. Masks N Glory adds weaponry, foods, magic items and mobs that are tied to its masks, and it includes a re-added Farlands world-generation option. Players who travel far can use the mod to explore temples, dungeons and the Far Lands, where they find broken artifacts and ancient shards that can be combined into new materials. The mod is built for Fabric, targets 1.20.1 only, and is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source. Source code is publicly available.
Key features
Rage-based Ego Mask
The Ego Mask builds a rage meter when the wearer is hit, and the meter adds damage to later attacks.
Health-scaled Grinning Mask
The Grinning Mask adds extra damage that depends on the remaining health of the struck enemy, rewarding strikes on healthy foes.
Knight Mask last stand
Dropping below four hearts grants Strength 3 and Speed 2 for six seconds, with a 60-second cooldown.
Third Eye and teleport mask
The Eye Mask highlights entities within 12 blocks through walls, and the dimension-shifting mask teleports the wearer to the Nether roof or back to world spawn with a sneak input.
