Magnetic Players
by Foyleth
Magnetic Players changes how far dropped items are drawn toward a player and how long they wait before pickup, through server-side settings.
What it does
The mod lets a server owner set how close a dropped item must be before a player can pick it up, and how long an item waits after it has been dropped before it can be collected. Both values can be tuned to make drops less annoying to gather, or pushed far enough that a player effectively becomes a vacuum that pulls in items from a 100 block radius. Settings also cover things like dropped bundles and beehives filled with a glass bottle.
Installation needs Fabric. Magnetic Players is server-side only, so clients do not need it, and it works in singleplayer, on a client and on a dedicated server. YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL) is required for the config screen, and Mod Menu is optional for opening that screen. The mod is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later and is published for Fabric across 5 release versions, 1.21.1 – 1.21.5.
Each setting has a default equal to vanilla Minecraft, so installing the mod changes nothing until a value is edited. Resetting through Mod Menu or deleting the magnetic players.json5 file restores the defaults on the next start. Configuration can be done in the graphical screen, which applies changes on save, or by editing the file by hand, which needs a restart or the magnetic players reload command.

Maybe you want to tweak the settings just a bit so that dropped items are a bit less annoying to pick up, or maybe you…
