JeremySeq's Trajectory Indicator
by JeremySeq
JeremySeq's Trajectory Indicator draws the predicted landing spot of arrows and thrown projectiles on the client, so a player can aim before firing.
What it does
While a player holds a bow, crossbow or other projectile weapon, the mod shows where the projectile will come down. The marker follows the aim, so shots at long range or over obstacles can be lined up before the string is released. The indicator is drawn only on the client, and a hit marker turns red when the predicted spot is on a mob.
Ender pearl throws are covered too. The landing prediction helps with precise parkour jumps and escapes, where the pearl has to land on a specific block. Because the mod changes nothing on the server, it works in single-player and on multiplayer servers without any setup on the server side.
Installation needs Forge only. The mod is published for 1.20.1, 1.20.2, 1.20.3 and 1.20.4, with the 1.0.0-1.20.1 build listed as the latest file, released 2025-02-28. The code is not open source, and the license is All rights reserved.
Key features
Arrow landing marker
Shows where an arrow will land after the shot, based on the current draw and aim.
Hit marker color
The marker turns red when the predicted landing spot is over a mob, so long-distance shots on targets can be judged.
Ender pearl prediction
The predicted landing spot is also drawn for ender pearls, helping with exact parkour jumps.
Aiming past obstacles
The projected spot stays visible when the target is out of direct sight, allowing trick shots around cover.
