ItemPickupNotifier

by AshKiano

ItemPickupNotifier shows a small pop-up in the bottom-right corner whenever the player's inventory gains new items, including items from any source.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT License1.21.10 – 26.3

What it does

The mod watches the player's whole inventory on the client and compares its total for each item between ticks. Rather than tracking individual slots or relying on server packets, it counts each item across the hotbar and main inventory once per tick, so a change in the total is what triggers a notification. Each pop-up shows the item icon, the item name and the amount gained, then fades out after a short time.

Manual inventory actions are ignored, so dragging items with the mouse, shift-clicking, rearranging stacks and opening the GUI do not produce pop-ups. Only genuine item gains register, including drops picked up from the ground, outputs taken from a crafting grid, items looted from chests, autopickup from farms and grants sent by the server. The mod is client-side only and needs no server support, so it has no effect on gameplay mechanics.

The mod is published for Fabric only, across six release versions 1.21.10 – 26.3, with 1.1 for 26.3 as the latest file. It is released under the MIT License and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Pop-up notifications

A small pop-up appears in the bottom-right corner when the total of an item in the inventory increases.

  2. Item icon and amount

Each notification lists the item icon, its name and the number gained, then fades out after a short duration.

  3. Whole-inventory scanning

The inventory total of each item is counted once per tick across the hotbar and main inventory.

  4. Manual actions ignored

Dragging, shift-clicking, rearranging stacks and opening the GUI are excluded, which keeps the screen free of pop-up spam.
