Invistags
Invistags keeps nametags and skins visible on players who have the invisibility effect, on Fabric clients only.
What it does
Invistags is a client-side Fabric mod that changes how invisible players are drawn. Their nametags render above them regardless of render distance or status effects, the nametag background and text stay at full opacity, and the player's body and skin are drawn fully opaque instead of as a ghostly semi-transparent figure. A sneaking fix keeps the nametag from being forced visible while the player crouches.
Each of these four features can be switched on or off during play with the invis command, and both the nametag and skin changes default to enabled on first launch. Only the client needs the mod, so servers run without it. Installation requires Fabric API. Invistags is published for Fabric across six release versions, 1.20.4 – 26.2, under All rights reserved, and it is not open source.
The author describes the mod as meant for event organizers who need to record or track players, and asks that it be used only with prior permission from the server owner, since it gives an unfair advantage in play.
Key features
Visible nametags on invisible players
Nametags are forced to render above invisible players, even beyond normal render distance or under status effects.
Full-opacity nametag text
The nametag background and text are restored to 100% opacity, bypassing the transparency that invisibility applies.
Opaque player skins
An invisible player's body and skin are drawn at full opacity rather than as a semi-transparent figure.
Runtime toggles
Nametag visibility and skin visibility can be enabled or disabled mid-game through the invis command, without a restart.
