Hoofprint
by GardenSystem
With Hoofprint, players open a minimalist world map, drawn from Surveyor save data, with a shortcut key that brings up the full map screen.
What it does
Hoofprint is a client-side world map frontend for the Surveyor Map Framework. Two map looks are available: a stripped-down look that resembles the vanilla map, and a closer-to-life look that shows biome colors, lighting and see-through water. Cave mapping lets a player view block details on the map, and waypoints from an existing Xaero's Minimap save are migrated automatically. Global player positions can be shared through Surveyor's server, and the save format is shared with Antique Atlas 4.
Installation requires Surveyor Map Framework, McQoy and Fabric API on Fabric. The mod is client-side only, so servers can run without it. Hoofprint is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later and is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with files covering 1.20.1 – 26.1.2. Its source code and issue tracker are public.

Groups on a Surveyor server can share positions and waypoints on the same map.
Exploring and editing
Players can edit Surveyor waypoints directly from the map screen while travelling.
Who it’s for: Players who use Surveyor-based maps in single-player or on multiplayer servers, and server owners who want shared positions for their community.
How it compares
Surveyalot is open source under the European Union Public License 1.2, supports Fabric and Quilt for 1.20.1 – 1.21.8, and is optional on client or server. Surveystones is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, runs on client and server for 1.19.2 – 1.21.1 on all four loaders. XaeroShare is a client-side only, open source MIT-licensed Fabric mod for 1.21.1 – 26.3, so it covers a narrower range of loaders than Hoofprint.
