PowerChord

by GardenSystem

Fabric players get a Pan Flute and a Harmonica from PowerChord, and both instruments play single notes or full chords drawn from the chromatic scale, with the pitch tracking where the camera points.

FabricClient and serverGNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or laterOpen source1.21 – 1.21.1

What it does

Both instruments are built from data components, and the instrument system is component-driven, so the RPG behavior of each item is set by its components rather than by separate item classes. The mod also adds a set of hunting-horn-like items that follow the same system, and Valley Spirits, a selectable item that changes how the offhand sings.

Major chords apply positive effects to nearby players, while minor chords apply negative effects to hostile mobs. A HUD preview shows the selected chord and its effect while the player is sneaking. Left-click plays a chord instantly, right-click plays a single note, and holding right-click builds an area-of-effect power chord. The Harmonica plays chords faster but has a longer cooldown. Valley Spirits sing backing parts through a four-chord progression when selected in the offhand.

PowerChord requires Fabric API. It is client and server, so the server and every player need the mod. Files are published for Fabric only, for 1.21 and 1.21.1, under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later, and the source code is open source.
