HideMyArmor
by mosaddiqdev
HideMyArmor lets a player hide worn armor pieces from the rendered character, with a single keybind toggling the setting on and off.
What it does
Each armor slot can be hidden on its own: helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots can be turned off separately, and the elytra can be hidden apart from the chestplate. Hiding changes only how the player model is drawn on the local client, so the armor stays equipped and keeps its protection.
Pressing H, which can be rebound in the Controls Key Binds Misc category, toggles armor visibility. The first press saves the current settings and shows everything; the second press restores the saved settings. Settings can also be opened from Mod Menu by finding HideMyArmor and clicking Configure, which opens a Cloth Config screen.
HideMyArmor is a client-side only mod, so only the player's client needs it; a server can run without it. It is released under the MIT License and is not open source. It is published for Fabric only, across the 26.1 – 26.1.2 range, and requires Cloth Config API and Fabric API. Mod Menu is optional and supplies the settings entry point.
Key features
Per-slot hiding
Helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots can each be hidden independently from the rendered model.
Separate elytra toggle
The elytra can be hidden without affecting the chestplate, so a player can wear one and not show the other.
Single keybind toggle
One key press saves the current visibility and shows everything; another press restores the saved state.
Configuration screen
Visual settings open through a Cloth Config screen reached from Mod Menu, and the keybind can be changed in the controls menu.
Small footprint
The mod is one mixin in a jar of about 15 KB, and it adds no ongoing processing while toggling is off.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Requirements
Dependencies declared by the latest file for each loader.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players on Fabric 26.1 – 26.1.2 who want to change how their own armor looks in-game. Because it is client-side only, it is needed by players and not by server owners.
How it compares
ArmorConfigs is client-side only, MIT licensed and not open source, and is published for 1.21.11. Armor Durability is also client-side only but is published under All rights reserved for 26.2. ElytraFlow is open source under the MIT License, client-side only, and works on Fabric and NeoForge for 26.1 – 26.3, so it covers a wider loader and version set than HideMyArmor.
