ArmorConfigs
by uuirco
ArmorConfigs is a client-side Fabric mod that lets each player choose which armor and elytra pieces are visible on their own character and on other players.
What it does
Visibility is set per piece: helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots can each be hidden or shown on their own. Separate options cover the elytra. Choices can apply to the player's own model, to other players' models, or to both, so a player can hide their own armor while still seeing everyone else's, or hide others' armor without changing what they see on themselves.
An advanced override mode hides only the selected pieces, leaving the rest of the armor visible, and the elytra control works alongside it. Settings are changed through an in-game menu interface, and the mod uses Minecraft's 1.21 rendering system to change how armor is drawn. Only the rendering on the client is changed, so server behavior and gameplay are not affected. The mod requires Fabric API and is released under the MIT License; it is not open source. Files exist for 1.21.11 only, and the latest Fabric file is 1.0.0 for 1.21.11, published 2026-05-26.

Use cases
Cleaner screenshots
A player can hide armor on their own model for a cleaner look in screenshots or videos.
Clearer PvP view
Hiding other players' armor can make opponents easier to tell apart in combat.
Who it’s for: Players on Fabric 1.21.11 who want more control over how armor and elytra look on screen, whether on their own character or on other players. The mod is client-side only, so servers do not need it.
