Hexlink
by Jempasam
Hexlink lets Hex Casting spells reach into blocks, items, entities and potions, so a caster can act on the world around the player.
What it does
Hexlink is an addon for Hex Casting that connects spell iotas to many kinds of game objects. A spell can read from or write to a block, an item, an entity or a potion effect, and the mod supplies the interface that makes those objects usable inside a casting sequence. Installation requires Cardinal Components API and Hex Casting, and EMI and MoreIotas are optional companions that add lookup and extra iota types.
The mod runs on the client and the server, so both sides need the same build. Files exist for 1.19 – 1.19.4, with 2.3.4 for 1.19.4 as the latest release, published on Fabric only. Hexlink is open source under the MIT License, and its source code, issue tracker and wiki are public.
Key features
Spell access to blocks
A casting sequence can inspect a block or change it, so spells respond to the state of the world.
Item iotas
Items can be placed on a caster stack as inputs and receive output iotas once a spell finishes.
Entity and potion interaction
Spells can target entities and apply or read potion effects, which extends what a casting sequence can affect.
Right-click casting
A spell can be cast by right-clicking with a held item, so a sequence does not require a dedicated input.
Colorable spirits
Spirit-based effects take on a color, which helps distinguish the spells a player has cast.

Use cases
Automated crafting setups
A spell can move items between a caster stack and a container, letting a player build repeatable item handling.
World-reactive spells
Casting sequences that check blocks and entities let a spell respond to what is nearby when it runs.
Who it’s for: Players who already use Hex Casting and want its spells to interact with more of the game, and server owners who run Hex Casting on a multiplayer server.
How it compares
Hexal is a Fabric and Forge addon, open source under the MIT License, and it covers 1.18.2 – 1.20.1, a range that overlaps Hexlink only on the 1.19 builds. Hexcellular is also open source under the MIT License, with Fabric and Quilt files for 1.19.2 – 1.20.1. HexShield is a Fabric build for 1.19.2 under a custom license that is not open source, and it requires the client, while the server can leave it out.

What the author says
# Why Adding a good number of spell effects is time consuming. This mod just add a way for hex casting to interact with many interface like blocks, items or entities. Like the motes from Hexal but for Entity, Potion and blocks too.
