HexShield
HexShield is a Fabric add-on for the Hex Casting magic system, built specially for the MineShield project, and it needs Hex Casting and Hex Gloop to run.
What it does
HexShield extends the Hex Casting spell system on Minecraft 1.19.2 with content from the Hex Gloop add-on. Hex Casting and Hex Gloop are both required, so both must be installed alongside it. Hex Casting is the base magic system, and Hex Gloop adds its own pieces on top of it.
Only the client needs HexShield to be installed, so a player can join a server that does not run the mod. Servers can still add it for the extra content, though they are not required to. The loader is Fabric, and the build targets Fabric Loader 0.14.19 with Hex Casting 0.10.3.
The latest file is 1.0.9 for 1.19.2, published on 2024-08-23 on the beta channel. The first release arrived on 2024-05-19. The author has published the source code, an issue tracker and a wiki. The mod is released under a custom license and is not open source.
Key features

Built for MineShield
The add-on was made specially for the MineShield project and is set up around that modpack's needs.

Use cases
Who it’s for: The mod suits players who already use Hex Casting on Fabric for Minecraft 1.19.2, and MineShield modpack players who want the Hex Gloop content. Players on other game versions or other loaders will not find a build for them.
How it compares
Hexlink is open source under the MIT License, published for Fabric on 1.19 – 1.19.4 and run on the client and server. Hexthingy is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, published for Fabric on 1.20.1 and also run on the client and server. HexShield is built for 1.19.2 alone, is not open source, and needs only the client to carry it.
