Health Indicators
by AdyTech99
With Health Indicators, players see a floating health bar or number above other players and entities in the world.
What it does
The mod draws each tracked entity's health above its head, either as a row of hearts or as a number. Entities can be filtered by category (hostile, passive, players, self), by entity type such as minecraft:pig, by player name, or by recent state: entities that were attacked, entities that were damaged, entities the player is looking at, or entities within a set distance.
Size, offset, indicator type, percentage-based health and text color can all be adjusted, and every option can be turned off in the config. An attack direction indicator is included as an additional feature. Client-side only, so only the client needs it and servers run without it. Required dependencies are Fabric API and YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL), with Mod Menu as an optional addition. The code is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and files cover 1.20.1 – 26.1.2 across Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt.
Key features
Category filters

Recent combat tracking
Limit the display to entities that were recently attacked or damaged, or to the one the player is looking at.
Distance limit
Restrict indicators to entities within a chosen radius around the player.
Display options
Switch between hearts and numbers, use percentage-based health, and change the text color and size and offset of the indicator.
