GUI Clock
by Serilum
With GUI Clock installed, a clock appears on the HUD while a clock item is in the inventory, showing the game time, real time or days played.
What it does
The clock is drawn on the screen as text, or as the clock item icon when the showOnlyMinecraftClockIcon option is enabled. By default it shows the in-game time only while a clock sits in the inventory, and real time follows the same rule. Time can be shown in 24-hour format or with AM/PM, and the days played in the world can be displayed below the time.
Placement is adjustable: the clock can sit on the left, in the middle or on the right of the screen, and offset horizontally and vertically to stop it overlapping other interface elements. Color, text shadow and the potion effect offset are all configurable. GUI Clock requires Collective, and it runs on the client alone, so servers need nothing installed. The mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 29 release versions, 1.16.5 – 26.3, and is released under All rights reserved, so the code is not open source.
Key features
In-game and real time
The display can show the world's time, the local time of the computer or both at once, with optional seconds.
Clock icon mode
An option replaces the numeric text with the vanilla clock item icon, which keeps the HUD compact.
Potion effect offset
The clock moves down while the player has active potion effects, so the two displays do not overlap.
Position and color settings
Placement, pixel offsets, text shadow and the display color are all set in the config file.

Use cases
Tracking time while building
Players who keep an eye on the day cycle can read the time without opening a menu.
Showing real time on a stream
With real time enabled, the clock can show the local time of the PC beside the in-game time.
Who it’s for: Players who want a time display on the HUD, and players who run a modded setup that already uses the screen corners for other interface elements.
How it compares
GameClock is open source under the MIT License, runs on Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt, and covers 1.20.1 – 1.21.11, while GUI Clock adds Forge and does not publish its code. Universal Clock HUD is also client-side only but is limited to Forge for 1.18 – 1.19.2 under a custom license, and it is not open source. Both alternatives are client-side only, the same as GUI Clock.
