FXBright
by VanshFX
FXBright is a Fabric client mod that raises the screen brightness of Minecraft, so caves, mines and the Nether stay readable at night.
What it does
Players toggle the effect instantly, and a simple settings menu lets them adjust brightness to the level they want. Turning the mod off restores the normal atmosphere, so the change is only ever a matter of rendering the screen. The setting is kept between sessions because the mod saves it automatically.
FXBright only changes how the game is rendered on the player's own screen. It does not alter the world, gamma values stored in the game, or gameplay, and it includes no ESP, X-Ray or combat automation features. It is published for Fabric only, for 16 release versions 1.21 – 26.2, and it is client-side only, so servers and other players do not need it. The mod is released under the MIT License but is not open source. The latest Fabric file is 26.2, published on 2026-07-20.
Key features
Instant fullbright toggle
A single key switches the brighter view on or off, so the normal atmosphere returns whenever the player wants it.
Adjustable brightness
The brightness level can be tuned in a settings menu, giving control over how bright the screen looks.
Automatic saved settings
The chosen brightness and toggle state are stored automatically and applied the next time the game starts.
Lightweight rendering change
The mod changes only the displayed image, leaving the world data and the game's stored gamma untouched.

Use cases
Exploring caves and mines
Players moving through dark caves or mines can see terrain clearly without carrying extra light sources.
Night in the Nether
The brighter view helps players navigate the Nether, where lighting is low, and then switch back to normal when needed.
Who it’s for: Players who want better visibility underground or at night while keeping full control over how bright the game looks. Server owners do not need to install it, since it runs only on the client.
