Falling Leaves
by Fourmisain
Falling Leaves draws a small particle of a leaf when a leaf block is broken or left in place, and lets the player decide which leaf blocks can release them.
What it does
Leaf blocks in a world release a short particle effect, and the mod lets players choose which types of leaf blocks drop leaves and how often. Some trees drop no leaves by default: conifers such as spruce and pine, large-leaved trees such as jungle trees and palms, and shrubs. Their spawn rate can be raised in the Mod Menu settings through the conifer leaf option, and the rate for individual trees is set under the leaf block settings.
Block-specific leaf textures and leaves falling from blocks that normally do not drop them are set up with resource packs, as described on the project's GitHub page. Falling Leaves needs Cloth Config API and Fabric API, and Mod Menu is optional for the settings screen. Builds are available for Fabric only, with files spanning 1.16 – 26.3 and snapshot builds also published. Open source under the MIT License, it runs client-side only.

Per-tree drop rates
The spawn rate can be set separately for each tree type in the leaf block settings.
Conifer leaf option
A dedicated Mod Menu setting raises the leaf spawn rate for conifer trees, which drop no leaves by default.
