Essential Commands
by John-Paul-R
Players on a Fabric server can use tpa, home, warp, spawn, back, nick and rtp through Essential Commands, a server-side utility mod with configurable command sets.
What it does
Each command and sub-command can be switched on or off in the config. Permissions are handled through a node per command, which works with permissions mods such as LuckPerms once the use permissions api option is set to true. Commands support automatic tab completion through Minecraft's command system, and the allow back on death option lets a player return to the place they died.
The mod only runs on the server, so players join without installing anything. It also works in singleplayer worlds. Fabric API is required, and LuckPerms, Player Roles and Vanish are optional integrations. PlayerAbilityLib, Text Placeholder API and fabric-permissions-api are bundled inside the mod, so they need no separate install. Files exist for 1.16.5 – 26.3, with snapshot builds published alongside the release versions, and the code is under the MIT License and open source.
Key features
Teleport requests
Players send teleport requests to one another with tpa, and the target accepts or declines the request.
Homes and warps
Players set personal homes and travel to server warp points, with each action gated by its own command permission.
Spawn and back
A spawn command returns players to the spawn point, and back returns them to their previous location.
Nicknames and random teleport
Players can set a nickname, and rtp sends them to a random location on the map.
Per-command configuration
Every command and sub-command can be enabled or disabled individually from the config file.

Use cases
Survival servers
Server owners give players home and back commands without running a separate economy or claims plugin.
Permission-managed servers
Staff who use LuckPerms can grant or revoke each command node per group.
Who it’s for: Server owners running Fabric who want a set of basic player commands with permission control. Singleplayer players who enable the mod can use the same commands locally.
