PlayerAbilityLib
by Pyrofab
PlayerAbilityLib is a library for Fabric and Quilt that helps mods change player abilities without breaking each other.
What it does
Mods that touch the PlayerAbilities class often conflict with one another, for example when two mods both control flight. The library gives developers an API that handles these interactions, so a mod built on it can change abilities without causing the usual clashes. Any Quilt or Fabric mod that works with PlayerAbilities can use it.
The library is meant to be embedded inside the jar of each mod that depends on it, so players do not install it on their own. Its environment is server-side only, and it is published for Fabric and Quilt across 17 game versions, 1.20 – 26.3, under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, which makes it open source. Required by one other mod, TechReborn Player Ability Lib Compat, it has public links to its source code and issue tracker.
Key features
Ability toggling item
An item that switches a player ability on and off, letting the ability be controlled without commands.
Ability potion
A potion that grants a player ability for a period, useful in adventure and survival play.
Shared API for developers
Developers call the library instead of editing PlayerAbilities directly, which keeps mod interactions predictable.

What the author says
Have you ever had an issue with a flight charm that stopped working as soon as you ran a /fly command? Or a magic jetpack that made spectators sink through the ground? Or a ghost mode that didn't let you fly for seemingly no reason? Mod incompatibilities with player abilities are way more common than we would like…
