EnhancedTooltips changes how item tooltips look and adds extra information to them, and it is installed on the client only.

What it does

The mod overhauls the tooltips that appear when a player hovers over an item, and adds some extra information to them. Items that come from a mod other than vanilla show that mod's name in the tooltip. Only the client needs it, so servers run without it and players join without installing anything. Files are published for Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt, across game versions 1.20 – 26.3, with 1.11.0 for 26.3 as the latest file.

  1. Tooltip pop-up animation

    Tooltips appear with a pop-up animation when the cursor rests on an item.

  2. Item preview bouncing animation

    The item preview inside a tooltip moves with a bouncing animation.

  3. Mod name on modded items

    Items that are not from vanilla show the name of the mod they belong to.
