EnderBackpack

by AmibeSkyfy16

EnderBackpack lets players carry a second inventory on their back, opened by holding right click, and the contents can be kept when a player dies.

FabricClient and serverMIT License1.19.4

What it does

A new item called Ender Backpack adds a second inventory that players can store items in. Holding right click with the item in hand opens it without sneaking, much as an Ender Chest is opened. Players who want a backpack receive one from the log only if they do not already have one, and a server can decide whether the contents are dropped on the ground when a player dies.

The backpack size can be set on the server and tied to the time a player has spent there, so long-standing players can earn more room. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. Installation needs Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin, and builds are published for Fabric only, for 1.19.4 under the MIT License, not open source.

Key features

  1. Second inventory

The backpack acts as a second inventory that holds items separately from the player's own slots.

  2. Right click to open

Holding right click with the backpack in hand opens it without sneaking, the same way an Ender Chest is used.

  3. Death drop option

The server can choose whether the backpack contents drop on the ground when the player dies.

  4. Size by playtime

The backpack size can be configured to grow with the time a player has spent on the server.

What the author says

Are you tired of the 27 slots inventory when today Minecraft vanilla includes more than 1000 different items? You want a bigger inventory without using a mod that enlarges the player's inventory and sometimes leads to incompatibility problems with other mods? You are tired of mods that add easily craftable backpacks…
