Inventory Maker

by hoid2

Inventory Maker lets a command create custom inventories that players open with a shared command, usable for storage like backpacks.

FabricServer-side onlyMIT LicenseOpen source1.18.2 – 1.21

What it does

Inventories are created with commands and can then be opened by players. An example is running inventorymaker create minecraft:generic 9x3 example:shared, after which players open the inventory with the shared command. Access can be limited to certain players, and the predicate identifier is set through the inventorymaker edit checker command.

The mod is built for Fabric and requires Fabric API. Text Placeholder API is bundled inside the mod. It runs on the server alone, so players join without installing anything. Files cover game versions 1.18.2 – 1.21 under the MIT License, and the source code is open source.

Key features

  1. Command-made inventories

Inventories are defined with a create command, choosing a container type and size such as 9x3.

  2. Restricted access

A checker predicate limits which players are able to open a given inventory.

  3. JSON definitions

Inventories can also be added by placing a JSON file, not only by running commands.

What the author says

Allows inventories to be created using commands. Inventories can then be opened using commands and be used to store things (like backpacks without the backpack). Inventories can have the option of only certain players being able to open them. You specify a predicate by identifier using /inventorymaker edit checker.
