Enchantment Tooltips
Enchantment Tooltips shows a HUD list of the enchantments on the item a player selects in the hotbar, and can also render enchanted books with their enchantment names.
What it does
The HUD list appears when a player selects an enchanted item, and it stays visible for a short moment before fading. Players who want the list on screen permanently can switch the always-display option on. The default location is the top left, and it can be moved in the configuration. Enchanted books in the inventory screen can be rendered with their enchantment names, which helps when browsing a stack of books.
The mod runs on the client alone, so players install it and servers need nothing. Fabric API is required and must sit next to the mod. Mod Menu is optional and gives access to the configuration screen by pressing the menu key once the mod is installed. ShadowHunter22's Config Library is optional too and makes the options configurable through that same screen.
Builds cover 1.20 – 26.2, with snapshot builds published alongside the release files. The latest Fabric file is 11.0.1+26.2 for 26.2, dated 2026-08-18. The code is covered by All rights reserved, so the project is not open source. Support for Forge is only planned, so the mod is Fabric only for now.
Key features
Hotbar enchantment list
Selecting an enchanted item shows its enchantments in a HUD list, so players can read them without opening the item.
Enchanted book names
Enchanted books in the inventory screen can show each enchantment by name, with the level, in place of the plain book.
Configurable HUD
The HUD location, its display timing and the always-display option are set in the configuration, with the top left as the default position.
Styled enchantment text
On versions 1.21 and later the list can use the Enchantment Text Styling mod, which lets custom styles apply to enchantment names.

Disenchant On Anvil is a Fabric mod for 1.20.1 – 26.2 that runs on client and server under the MIT License, so it changes the anvil rather than the HUD.

What the author says
This client-side mod adds a HUD onto your screen for a brief moment (or forever if you want to configure it to do so) to see the list of enchantments that are on an item or book when you select it in your hotbar. folder. Additionally, you will need to install the Fabric API jar for this mod to work.
