Enchantment Compatibility
by Roundaround
Enchantment Compatibility removes the conflicts between enchantments that normally cannot be placed on the same item, so that combinations like Sharpness and Smite can coexist on one weapon.
What it does
The mod lifts the exclusion rules that vanilla places on certain enchantments, letting them stack on a single item. Targets cover the enchantments that make sense together, such as Depth Strider with Frost Walker. Behavior is set per enchantment group: bow enchantments, crossbow enchantments, armor enchantments and damage enchantments each have their own switch, and Infinity with Mending can be combined on its own.
Settings live in a single TOML file named enchantmentcompat.toml. In a single-player world the file sits in the world's save config folder, while older builds stored it in the global instance config folder. Players on Modrinth can also reach the options through ModMenu's mod list. Each toggle is a simple true or false, and setting a value to false turns that group back to vanilla rules.
The mod is installed on the server, and it is required there for multiplayer play, while single-player worlds use it the same way. It is released under the MIT License as open source, for Fabric and Quilt, with builds covering 1.18.2 – 1.21.10.
Key features
Combined damage enchantments
Sharpness, Smite and the other damage enchantments can be placed on the same weapon when the damage group is enabled.
Combined armor enchantments
Protection enchantments can be combined on one armor piece instead of being limited to a single type.
Combined bow and crossbow enchantments
Infinity with Mending on bows, and piercing with multishot on crossbows, can be stacked through separate toggles.
Per-group toggles
Each group of enchantments has its own true or false setting in the configuration file, so a server can change only what it needs.

What the author says
Make many mutually-exclusive enchantments compatible. This targets all the vanilla enchantments that make sense to stack (so no depth strider/frost walker). Required on the server for multiplayer, but also works in single player! You can configure the behavior of the mod from the enchantmentcompat.toml file within…
