Enchant Limiter (RPG Tweaks)
Enchant Limiter caps how many enchantments an item can carry, so each enchantment choice has to be weighed against the others.
What it does
The limit is set through a new item component, enchant limiter:limit, and its default value can be adjusted in the configuration. Enchanted books are limited automatically by default, and the limit applies to breakable items as well. Because the cap replaces stacking bonuses, picking enchantments becomes a decision rather than adding one more upgrade every time. The mod runs on client and server, so both sides need it. It is published for Fabric and NeoForge on 1.21.1, under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and the code is open source.
Key features
Enchantment cap
Each item can hold only a set number of enchantments, so extra enchantments do not keep stacking.
Adjustable default limit
The default number of enchantments per item can be changed in the configuration.
Limit via item component
The limit is stored in the enchant limiter:limit item component, which lets other tools read or set it per item.
