EMI Enchants
by Mephodio
With EMI Enchants installed, the EMI recipe viewer can show the details of each enchantment, including its maximum level and the items it can be applied to.
What it does
The mod adds an EMI addon that lists enchantment information in the viewer. For each enchantment, the entry shows its name, the mod it comes from, its maximum level and its category. It also lists the items the enchantment can be applied to, along with the enchantments that conflict with it.
Further entries cover rarity, weight and the cost per level, and state whether the enchantment can be obtained from an enchanting table, bought from a villager, or found in loot sources such as chests, fishing and mob equipment drops. The mod requires EMI, and it is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, so the code is open source. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and Quilt for 1.19.2 – 1.20.4, with 1.0.0 as the latest build for 1.19.2.

Use cases
Planning enchantments
A player can check which items take an enchantment and which enchantments conflict before using a book or table.
Finding sources
Players looking for a specific enchantment can see whether a table, a villager or a loot source provides it.
Who it’s for: Players who browse enchantments in EMI, and modpack builders who want enchantment details in the recipe viewer. The mod is client-side only, so server owners do not need to install it.
How it compares
Clear Enchanting is a Fabric-only client mod for 1.20 – 1.20.6, under All rights reserved, so it is not open source. Enchantment Descriptions is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1 only, works on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.9.4 – 26.3, and needs the client while the server may run it as well. EMIffect is client-side only, open source under the MIT License, and covers Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.19.2 – 1.21.1.
