The elytra pitch helper shows small pitch indicators while a player glides with an elytra, marking the +40 and -40 degree angles that the 40/40 flight technique relies on.
What it does
The indicators appear only while the player is gliding with an elytra, because the mod checks the motion type rather than the item in hand, so it stays out of the screen at other times. Its markers sit close to the pitch angles, which keeps the rest of the view clean. Compatibility covers most custom elytras, since the check does not depend on a specific item.
The mod is client-side only, so only the player's client needs it and servers run without it. It requires Fabric API, and Mod Menu is optional for changing its settings from the mods list. Files are published for Fabric and NeoForge across 24 release versions, 1.20 – 26.3, with snapshot builds included. The latest Fabric and NeoForge files are 3.0.1+26.3 for 26.3, both on the beta channel, released 2026-09-29.
The mod is open source and released under CC0 1.0 Universal, so its source code and issue tracker are public. Releases since v2.1.0 are also uploaded to Modrinth as the same jars found on GitHub, and the author notes that attestation is provided so players can verify them.
