Elytra Utils gives players hotkeys and a flight overlay for elytra flight, with firework boosts and automatic elytra replacement.
What it does
Elytra Utils is a client-side Fabric mod that changes how elytra flight is controlled. Players can disable flight with a hotkey, swap the elytra chestplate, boost without placing a firework block, or trigger flight only with a firework hotkey. A spear lunge boost hotkey gives a boost without a firework rocket, and a flight overlay shows the state of the flight.
The mod is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, and the source code and issue tracker are public. It requires Cloth Config API, Fabric API and Mod Menu. Builds exist for 1.21.1, 1.21.4, 1.21.6, 1.21.7, 1.21.8, 26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2, 26.2 and 26.3, with the latest Fabric alpha build, 26.3-1.2.0-alpha1, dated 2026-09-23 for 26.3. Only the client needs it, so servers run without it.

Flight hotkeys
A hotkey disables elytra flight, and a separate one swaps the elytra chestplate, matching the controls of Bedrock Edition.
Firework-free boosts
A boost hotkey and a spear lunge hotkey give speed without placing a firework rocket, and a firework hotkey starts flight alone.
Flight overlay and rocket count
An overlay shows the flight state, and the number of firework rockets left is displayed while flying.
Durability alert and auto replacement
The mod warns when an elytra is close to breaking and can swap in a replacement elytra once the old one breaks.
