Players who drink a Compound V vial in Eli's Compound V gain a random power, and every later dose can change or replace it.
What it does
Eli's Compound V is a risk-based progression system built around Compound V vials. A player who has no powers and drinks a base vial has a 75% chance to survive and receive one random base power, while a failed dose is fatal. A player who already has powers and drinks another base vial rerolls them instead. Vials of the next tier, Compound V1, work in a similar way at a 50% survival chance and upgrade matching base powers into their V1 equivalents. When a dose would not change anything, the vial applies a brief combat buff in its place.
The third tier, Compound V Odessa, has a 25% chance to grant an Odessa power, and players already holding Compound V or V1 powers can swap some of them out for an Odessa power. Powers include aquatic physiology, augmented movement speed, x-ray, night, and laser vision. Two addons extend the content: one adds the Compound V Boys TV series and comics to Palladium, and the other reimagines the system with new mechanics and a more progression-driven design.
The mod needs Architectury API, Geckolib, KubeJS, Palladium, Pehkui and Rhino. It is published for Fabric and Forge for 1.20.1, with version 3.0 as the latest file for both loaders. Servers that run it need every player to install it too.
Key features
Risk-based vial system
Base, V1 and Odessa vials each carry a survival chance, and a failed dose ends the player's run with fatal results.
Power rerolls
Drinking another vial while holding powers rerolls them, so a player can keep trying for a better set.
Tier upgrades
A V1 vial turns matching base powers into their V1 equivalents, giving a clear path through the tiers.
Combat buff fallback
A redundant dose applies a brief combat buff in place of a new power, so the vial still has an effect.
Power swaps
Players with Compound V or V1 powers can exchange some of them for an Odessa power through the Odessa tier.

Age of Compound V is a Forge-only mod for 1.20.1, also client and server and under All rights reserved. Vought Reborn covers Fabric and Forge for 1.20.1 with the same environment and license.
