E-Utils
by Hysocs
E-Utils is a server-side utility library for Fabric, providing reusable systems that other mods can build on, from configuration files to scheduling and interface helpers.
What it does
Modders get ready-made components for common server tasks: configuration files, command systems, user interfaces and collection helpers. The aim is to let developers spend their time on a mod's own content rather than rebuilding these pieces. The library is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and source code is publicly available.
E-Utils runs on the server only, so players join without installing it. Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin are required, and files are published for Fabric alone, across 16 release versions, 1.16 – 1.21.4. Seven other catalog mods require it, among them CobbleSpawners, CobbleHunts, CobbleBattleRewards, EventAntiXray and B-RTP.
Key features
Type-safe configuration
ConfigManager reads several files through Kotlin data classes, with JSONC files that allow human-readable comments.
Live reloading
Changed configuration files are picked up from disk automatically, so server owners can adjust settings without a restart.
Automatic migration
When a new mod version changes the config structure, existing values are merged into the updated file and changes are kept.
Task scheduling
SchedulerManager runs delayed and repeating tasks and separates main-thread work from asynchronous tasks to avoid common concurrency problems.
Command builder
A fluent Brigadier-based builder creates commands with integrated permission handling.
Inventory GUIs
A simple framework builds interactive inventory screens, including standard anvil types.

Use cases
Multi-file configs
Complex data such as Pokémon loot pools can sit in a main config and secondary configs in sub-directories.
Who it’s for: Fabric mod developers who want a shared server-side toolkit for configuration, commands, scheduling and menus, and server owners who run mods built on it.
How it compares
Silk is a Fabric library that runs on the client or the server, with an optional environment, under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and is open source. Brigadier Extras is also open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, but it is server-side only and targets 1.21.1 – 1.21.5, while E-Utils covers 1.16 – 1.21.4. ShadowEssentials is server-side only and is not open source, released under All rights reserved for 1.21 – 1.21.3.
